IOF and Finnish Orienteering Federation rules are followed on the competitions with instructions given by organisers.

Number bibs
Number bibs available at Competition office. Own safety pins. There are also safety pins available if needed. Number bibs should be attached to left thigh/leg.
EmiTag punching
Emitag punching system. Rentable Emitags available at Competition office, costs 5€/day or 8€/2 days. Payments to Competition office. Return your Emitag on Sunday after finish to info. Emitags not returned costs 100€/tag.
Competitor is responsible to use the Emitag-number on the start list and should test tag at model control in the competition centre. The organizer doesn’t check the Emitag number on the start line. If competitor uses other Emitag than mentioned on the start list the competitor will be disqualified (FOF-rule 11.518).
Terrain
The terrain is fell terrain with modest height differences. The terrain consists of mainly forests and some swamps. The swamps are open or sparse forest. The trees are mainly pine and spruce. There are public skiing tracks on the competition area so be careful with other skiers on the tracks. The competition area is situated between 200 – 300 meter above sea level.
Tracks
Total amount of tracks 69,4 km
- Very wide tracks 5-8m (wide continuous line): 12,9 km
- Wide track 2,5 m (wide continuous line): 1,2 km
- Track 1,0-1,2m (dashed line): 55,1 km
Branches of trees are difficult to pass in some places. Competition area is partially Pallas-Yllästunturi national park, so only the major obstacling branches are removed to ensure the safety.

First start at 10.30 both days. Start times available at competition centre or at skioyllas.fi.

How-to work at start
– 4 min: Number bib checking
– 3 min: EmiTagin checking & GPS installation (H/D21A)
– 2 min: Model map
– 1 min: To map baskets (maps are available 1 min before start)
Controls and punching
Controls are set over or beside the track. EmiTag-unit is inside control flag. EmiTag will registrate punching about 50 cm from the control unit, and then the wrist unit flashes for 10 seconds.

Finish
The finishing is registered when crossing the finish line. At finish Emitag check. There is QUTZY-sports drink at finish. The finish will be closed on both days at 15.00.
GPS tracking
GPS tracking on classes H/D21A. GPS-devices are attached behind the map holder by the organizer at start. GPS-device retrieval after the finish. GPS-tracking can be seen at skioyllas.fi.
Warming and ski testing
At Competition centre.
Waxing
There is no extra room for waxing. Waxing outside with your own equipment.
Dressing and shower
There is no dressing rooms or showers in the competition centre.
First aid
At Competition centre by Kolarin SPR / Paula Ajanki, +358 400786 673. In serious accidents call public emergency number 112.
Results
Results, split times and GPS tracking at skioyllas.fi
Prizes
Prizes are given by total time on Sunday. Prizes can be taken from Competition office. On H/D21A prize giving ceremony at the Stadion.
Weather reservation
Temperature is measured on competition mornings at 9.00. Decision of delaying or cancelling the competitions are made by the jury by 9.30.
